Adopt a Beagle / Pug / Mixed

Beagle / Pug / Mixed Dog

Charlie D3651 the Dog needs a home

Hi, I'm Charlie!

I'm a distinguished senior gentleman puggle looking for a home to spend my retirement years!

I'm a handsome medium-sized guy and I even come potty trained! (I apologize, but sometimes I have a nervous potty when I go to new places, other than that I'm really good with outside potty)

I am 10 years old, but I also have a clean bill of health and I'm all up-to-date on all my shots, so no worries there.

I've met cats, dogs, and even kids and I'm pretty cool with all of them. Sometimes I need slow intros to new friends because my eyes aren't quite what they used to be and I get startled.

I sit really politely for treats and I take them nicely from the palm of your hand (if you give a treat to me with your fingers I might get excited and accidentally chomp).
My foster family has really enjoyed having me- I don't jump up on anyone and I stick to my toys for chewing (no furniture) Honestly, except for my manners with food, I'm a really polite houseguest. My foster family usually gates me in a different room when they eat, just so I'm not tempted to sample dinner.

I also like to be fed alone, I get a little nervous when other critters get close to my bowl.

I'm slowly learning to trust my foster family and getting more and more affectionate everyday- sometimes an older gentleman like me needs some warm-up time.
At bedtime, I enjoy sleeping next to your bed on my doggie bed. I might sniff around the room for a few minutes before laying down, but I just always want to know my terrain.

As for my voice, I only give a bay here or there when I'm lonely or shut outside the room you're in- I really like my humans and always want them near!!! I'm good in my crate during the day though and will only bark once or twice at first. I'll gladly spend time napping in there when you go out.

When we go for walks, I'm a very busy guy and my nose rarely stops sniffing. My foster family cracks up at how much I need to smell. I'm not much of a tugger on the leash and I like a nice, leisurely pace.

When I'm happy and playful, my foster family thinks I'm hilariously cute, I like to shake my toys and run around like crazy! My favorite stuffie toy is my hedgehog and I don't like anyone to take him from me when I have him- we've been together for a long time and I love him very much! Other than when I get super playful, I'm a really mellow dude and I spend most of my time sniffing and being your shadow!

Oh, and I almost forgot- I am incredibly polite in the car... so I'll be a very good boy when I'm on my way home with you! My foster family absolutely adores me (I mean, how couldn't you? I'm so handsome!) and they'd keep me forever, but they think I deserve more one-on-one/quiet time with my humans. I really like my foster brother, puggles think alike, but sometimes he's a little too fast for me. I think I'd like a home to myself or with someone more my age and energy level. I really like relaxing with older dogs.

Well, that's a little bit about me, Charlie! Please make me your #1 guy and take me home with you, I can tell I love you already!

I love you from the bottom of my little doggy heart and I can't wait to meet you!

Charlie

P.S. I'm a funny guy and my silly foster family has many nicknames for me and I answer to most of them (Charles, Chuck, Chuckles, Chuckwagon, Charlie Bear, you know, funny stuff like that!)
